EPL: I want to be Arsenal’s captain if anything happens with Odegaard – Rice

Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice has admitted he would like to wear the captain’s armband at the club, “if anything happens” to current skipper Martin Odegaard.
Rice has enjoyed a very impressive debut season at the Emirates, following his 105million move from West Ham in the summer.
The 25-year-old was captain of the Hammers and is set to wear the armband for England when they play Belgium in a friendly on Tuesday.

Ahead of the game, he told reporters: “Having 10 years at West Ham shaped me into the person I am today.
“When I got to captain West Ham, I was growing in confidence and as a leader. I still see myself going that way.
“There is Martin Odegaard at my club. I’m not thinking about it, but if anything were to ever happen to him, I really would love to put the armband on for Arsenal.”
